Hey, parents! If you're considering enrolling your kid(s) in ski school, let us ease some stress! From reservations to packing, these helpful tips will make preparing for your kiddo's ski lessons a breeze.

Making Reservations

  • Reserve your spot early! Reservations are accepted beginning in October and lessons fill up fast.
  • Before reserving, think about if your child would benefit more from a one-on-one setting or in a group program.
  • The resorts’ representative will provide details about when and where to arrive, and what equipment will be available.
  • Before their lesson, get your kiddo pumped up! Explain to them that they will make new friends, try something new and have a lot of fun.

Things to Pack

  • Parents, don’t forget to bring your driver’s license.
  • Be sure to pack waterproof mittens or gloves, snow pants, tall wool socks, goggles, a winter coat, neck warmer or scarf and a hat.
  • Dress your child in layers! Synthetic, water-wicking clothing is best. Cotton will hold water and make your kiddo cold.
  • Bring a dry change of clothes and comfortable shoes for pick-up.
  • Hand and feet warmers to keep toasty on the mountain.

What to Expect

  • Arrive 40 minutes before your scheduled lesson.
  • If you booked a private lesson, an instructor will take your kid to be fitted for properly-fitting equipment. Helmets are available as well.
  • All lessons incorporate fun-based learning, which uses sculpted snow to simulate banked turns and stopping so kids can easily learn control while having fun.
  • Expect your kid to want to show off what they’ve learned right away!
