The Great Allegheny Passage Conservancy seeks to sustain the GAP for future generations by promoting it to new audiences and by raising and investing dollars for proactive and emergency maintenance. “Great Day on the GAP!” is our inaugural fundraising event designed to further our exciting mission and vision.
This outdoor party will include tasty food served up by Earth, Wheel and Fire, and Revival Chili, and the very best beers from Bloom Brew and Trailhead Brewing Company. Live music, an event t-shirt, raffled auction baskets, and famous Nancy B's cookies add to the fun. Guests will gather to trade stories from their favorite treks; they may take a test ride on a custom fully-accessible tandem bike with the Joyriders or a guided walking tour of Cedar Creek Gorge. The first 40 VIP ticket-holders will enjoy a tour of The Ruins Project, a mosaic art installation in nearby Whitsett.
