Healthy workshop and fun walk; free water bottle! Learn an app that tracks your steps while we all hike the grounds/trails.
"Family Fun Walk" event, 10am on Saturday, June 26 at Laurelville. Meet at the Welcome Center. Tickets from the cancelled April 17 event will be honored.
Excela Nutritionist Dawn Davoli, RDN, will teach families the importance of staying hydrated; participants will discover the sugar content of popular beverages; they'll make and taste a homemade Gatorade recipe and create their own delicious fruit infused water. Take home info and a free water bottle will be included. We'll review the Strava app so families can track their exercise with GPS and compete amongst each other. We will take our fruit infused waters and enjoy an adventurous hike around Laurelville to practice using the app and getting to know the 600-acre camp's grounds and trails. Approximately 2 hours. Must pre-register, space is limited. $5 per person. Guests should dress for a walk in the woods. Walking sticks are encouraged. Meet at the Welcome Center, the first large building on your left.
