New Sunday Youth Gatherings at Laurelville

Overview
Are you a small church trying to figure out how to engage with and support your junior high and high school students? Are you a student looking for a youth group?
Laurelville Retreat Center's new Sunday Youth Gatherings invites 6th-12th grade students to weekly meetings from 6-8 p.m. on Sundays in our Shenandoah gymnasium, beginning Jan. 8 and ending March 26.
Organizers intend for Sunday Youth Gatherings to be a support network for small churches to create a space for youth to have fun, form friendships and explore their faith. New Youth Program Manager Leah Rittenhouse will lead this group and invites supportive adults from participants' home congregations to join in and spend time diving into the Scripture and exploring Christian spirituality together.
Each gathering will include a group game/activity, short Scripture teaching. breakout groups, closing reflection and prayer, and snacks.
The theme will be "I AM" -- looking at the seven "I am" statements Jesus makes about himself in the Gospel of John.
