In the day-to-day of life, it can be challenging to find time to sit and be where you are with who you are. We can feel overwhelmed with all of the self-care tips and tricks to live our "best life". What if you were able to tune into the knowledge and awareness that already resides within you? What if you were able to stay curious and open to the unfolding experiences of life? Through the practices of Meditation and Journaling, you'll discover how to restore and illuminate your connection to your breath, body and source of inspiration.
Join meditation teacher Melissa Marasia-Burns for a weekly meditation and journaling experience at the Latrobe Art Center. Through these sister practices, you'll create a touchstone to infuse your day-to-day life with more joy, meaning and connection!
Each session will begin with a walking meditation (based on the teachings of Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh) through the art gallery to fully awaken our senses to the world around us. Afterwards, we'll practice a variety of guided and self-directed breathwork, sitting meditation and journaling. Each session will conclude with a conversation on integrating our awareness into our perfectly-imperfect lives.
This program is designed for both seasoned and beginner meditation practitioners and journaling enthusiasts.
