The program is scheduled for Wednesday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. with personal trainer, Tommie Korneke, in the beautiful SAMA gardens. The cost is $8 per session. The first session starts Wednesday, June 2. Walkins are welcome but registration is encouraged.
Tommie, a fitness specialist, and SAMA supporter has donated her time to offer this energizing and motivational class. She has been an active member of the community for 37 years and lent her time and skills to many organizations in the area. Tommie is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Certified Personal Trainer and has successfully completed Total Body Resistance courses as well as TRX Yoga. She specializes in the 50 and older age group and her mantra is, “Fit Over Fifty”. For this special program, Tommie will concentrate on exercise with gentle movement, resistance training (light weights optional), core strengthening through balance, and yoga sequences for conditioning and stress relief.
