Also included  is a listing in our annual Laurel Highlands Destination Guide, which has a distribution of 100,000 copies distributed in 50 regional brochure racks and at PA Welcome Centers and PA Turnpike Rest Areas, at consumer shows, mailed at the visitor's request, and more. The guide is distributed in January. 


Social Media Exposure
The GO LH marketing department creates and monitors seasonal and ongoing advertisements on Facebook and Twitter in order to brand the Laurel Highlands and drive traffic back to These social media ads encourage engagement with GO Laurel Highlands while exposing Facebook and Twitter users to the region’s seasonal activities, deals, historical and culture attractions, and much more. These efforts include FacebookTwitterInstagram, and Pinterest.

Educational & Networking Offerings
Attend our networking and educational opportunities, many of which are free and exclusive to GO LH partners only. These include Orientation, Social Media 101 Workshops, Staff Training, Tourism After Hours Events, A Backyard Motorcoach Tour, and GO LH's Annual Dinner. Our biggest annual event, the annual Interactive Marketing Summit is a way to expose our local partners to the latest trends in the ever-changing world of interactive marketing. Other Ways You Benefit - Consumer Marketing

GO LH's consumer marketing campaign includes seasonal Pandora Internet Radio and TV campaigns in the Pittsburgh Market, as well as an online banner ad marketing in Pittsburgh, DC, and into additional target Markets such as Ohio, Eastern PA, Maryland, Virginia and the surrounding areas. GO LH's targeted radio spots on Pandora also target listeners in Washington D.C. GO LH uses the Google Display Network to serve targeted, seasonal banner ads to qualified users. Additionally, GO LH has partnered with a company called Outbrain that allows content from to be featured as “suggested posts” or “promoted stories” under relevant articles on targeted, high-traffic websites. GO LH also has online banner ads running with VisitPA.

Each seasonal SEM campaign consists of over 60 Google ads created to correspond with ad word groups comprised of topics such as season-specific activities, dining, vacation packages, arts, history, and more. All of these ads are taking those who click on them to very specific and relevant landing pages on that have been optimized for search engines.

The Laurel Highlands also maintains billboards on each end of the region along the PA Turnpike, welcoming passers-by to the region while establishing geographic parameters of the beautiful Laurel Highlands. The highly-visible billboards are located on I-76 westbound near Somerset, and I-76 eastbound between Monroeville and Irwin, with an additional board located on I-76 eastbound just before the Donegal exit, encouraging viewers to exit just ahead.
