Somerset County
The 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America takes on a special meaning in America’s County, Somerset, Pennsylvania, as it coincides with the 25th commemoration of Flight 93 - an event that brought our small, rural community to the forefront of national attention. In conjunction with the Western Pennsylvania Firemen’s Association Convention, Somerset County will be hosting a series of events that celebrate and honor these momentous occasions. Throughout the events, we will come together as a community to honor the heroes who so bravely fought for freedom both at the formation of our country and when it faced unprecedented challenges in our more recent past.
