Janelle Imbrescia

Not So Distant: Using Connections to Create Social Media Togetherness

Janelle Imbrescia is a 2009 Marketing graduate of Saint Vincent College where she is an adjunct Professor for the Alex G. McKenna School of Business, Economics and Government. Upon graduating from SVC, she was selected to be a part of the Disney College Program in Orlando, FL. She has remained a Walt Disney World Cast Member for the past 11 years holding various roles throughout the Resort. In 2015, she completed her Masters Degree in Tourism Management from New York University. At NYU, she received the Ricelle “Bunny” Grossinger Hospitality Award for her contributions to the program. She is currently the Director of Student Life at Douglas Education Center in Monessen. Janelle is in charge of providing services for students that enhance their personal experience and educational development. As the school’s Social Media Coordinator she is responsible for creating engaging content on all social media platforms that focuses on current students, alumni success, and the general public.

Ryan Barnhart has an earned Doctor of Health Science from the California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his expertise in health, wellness, and exercise science, Ryan is a 3x CASE Award-winning educational fundraising, constituent development, and higher education professional with specific experience and expertise in marketing and communications, enrollment management, andragogy, university development and advancement, and athletics administration. He is the host of the Cal U Podcast “The Vulcan Nation” as well as the social media manager for all Cal U Alumni accounts.

Lindsay Pardoe is a Local Retail Sales Manager for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, leading a team that is focused on helping local businesses refine their marketing strategies. Lindsay began with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as a digital sales specialist, where she found her passion in digital marketing, helping many small to medium-sized businesses in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh achieve their goals.

Jill Kirsch is the Senior Advertising Manager for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, where she leads and coaches the advertising department’s sales team. With more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, Jill is known for her strong industry knowledge, as well as her leadership and mentoring skills. Prior to her role as senior advertising manager, Jill led the Post-Gazette’s digital agency team.

Anne Swoboda

Anne Swoboda has been working with destinations for more than 12 years. She has a track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies for clients in the tourism, hospitality, and retail industries, as well as managing social communities with more than 350,000 users. A tourism advocate, Anne is the founder/manager of the Tourism Industry COVID-19 Resource Group and Tourism Geeks Facebook Groups, and cofounder of the monthly #tourismchat Twitter/Facebook chat.
