Spring Flight 93

SOMERSET, PA — The Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial held their virtual Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Outgoing Board of Director President Donna Gibson announced new leadership within the Board of Directors.

The newly elected President is Fred Lukachinsky of FedEx Ground who will join newly elected Vice President Emily Shenkel of CSi. Officer roles also include Treasurer, Dave Finui of AmeriServ Financial, and Secretary, Tom Rooney of The Rooney Sports & Entertainment Group.

Fred states, “The Friends of Flight 93 are grateful for Donna’s exemplary results and outstanding leadership. Our organization is in tremendous shape as we look forward to supporting this incredible memorial and educating new generations of people on the heroic events that transpired on United Flight 93.”

The Friends thank outgoing board member, Secretary Sheena Baker, Communications Coordinator at Franklin Country, Chambersburg, PA for her dedication to the Friends’ organization.

The Friends welcome new incoming board member, Matthew B. Wilson. He is a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual and The Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company. Matthew is proud to serve his community in many ways. He served six years as the President of the Executive Board of the HALO Foundation, known for their grassroots campaign of 93 Cents for Flight 93. Matthew is married to his wife, Julie Wilson, and together they have two children.

The Friends of Flight 93 National Memorial team includes Executive Director Donna Gibson, Education Coordinator Danielle D. Miller, and Communications & Special Events Coordinator Courtney Claycomb.
