Park Day is an initiative of the American Battlefield Trust, a nationwide organization whose mission is to preserve battlefields and educate the public about their history. The American Battlefield Trust organizes Park Day to encourage volunteers to become stewards of the battlefields in their communities.
Bushy Run Battlefield preserves and interprets for citizens and visitors the site of this pivotal battle fought between British and Native Americans during the conflict known as Pontiac’s War (1763-64) and the role of this British victory in maintaining control of North America.
