Our next Evening on the Summit program, Who Pooped in the Park: Tracks & Scat is Saturday, July 1, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. in the Visitor Center auditorium. This free, hour-long program is presented by Mindy Kuzminsky. No reservations are required.
The animals themselves are sometimes hard to find, but you can find their tracks and scat everywhere! The program will explore a variety of animals in western Pennsylvania. Participants will learn about their tracks, scat and other signs.

Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site
Allegheny Portage Railroad National Historic Site is located 10 miles west of Altoona, Pennsylvania off the Gallitzin exit of US Highway 22. The park preserves portions of the first railroad crossing over the Allegheny Mountains. This unique railroad connected the eastern and western divisions of the Pennsylvania Main Line Canal.
