Jeannette, PA – Bushy Run Battlefield is hosting a new program designed for local students. The Kids’ Wax Museum will take place in Bushy Run Battlefield’s museum on Sunday, April 6 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Students in grades 1 through 6 can sign up to become wax figures in our museum during the event. Students will select a significant historical figure to dress up as. Visitors to the wax museum can approach the “wax figures” who will then deliver a brief talk on the history of their figure.
Visitors will be given a small quiz sheet to complete as they learn from the wax figures. Upon completion of the quiz, visitors will be entered into a raffle to win a free family membership for Bushy Run Battlefield.
Participants and their parents are encouraged to keep their costumes simple rather than extravagant. The Kids’ Wax Museum program is intended to bring local students into a closer connection with history. Students from any educational setting are encouraged to participate.
