The sibling trio “Girl Named Tom” notably made history as “the only group to ever win NBC’s ‘The Voice,’” and will perform at the grand opening of Laurelville Retreat Center’s new Gathering Place in May.

Tickets for the group’s heavenly harmonies cost $40 for the 7 p.m. concert celebration on May 3, and must be purchased in advance.

The new Gathering Place at Laurelville has been on the list of priorities for the 600-acre year-round Christian retreat center in Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County, for several decades.

The $2.32 million project is nearly complete, and the concert will christen the expansive event space.

The new building can now accommodate all the guests in one place, a significant perk for the center’s groups, especially those of 400 people or more.

Girl Named Tom’s sound is built on the angelic voice of Bekah and the beautiful sibling harmony added by her two brothers, Joshua and Caleb. Their homegrown style combines the classics (Joni Mitchell; Crosby, Stills & Nash) with pop artists of today (Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Adrianne Lenker).

The band's name is based on a childhood nickname as Joshua called Bekah "Thomas" when she was a baby.

The young trio from Ohio have impressively generated over 25 million streams across chart-rattling covers such as “River,” “The Chain,” and “Dust in the Wind.”

They gained further traction with the independent release of "Another World" Extended Play (EP). In 2022, they released their debut holiday EP, "One More Christmas,” which reached #1 on the iTunes Charts, and they embarked on a massive arena tour supporting Pentatonix for “A Christmas Spectacular.”

Since 2022, the group has racked up more than 200 shows. They have captivated millions on television, appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” singing for the Indy500, and returning for a heart-wrenching performance on “The Voice Finale” a year after their win.

Their inimitable harmony will only continue to resound louder with their latest releases, “What A View” and “Get A Little Lost,” and with more new music on the way in 2025.
