LIGONIER, PA – The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art (SAMA) is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of its recent “Backyard Bash” fall fundraiser, which took place on Saturday, September 14th in SAMA Ligonier's beautiful gardens. The casual, outdoor event brought together art enthusiasts, community members, and local artists for an unforgettable evening filled with art, music, food, and fun, all in support of SAMA's mission to promote and preserve the arts.

Guests donned their best denim attire and enjoyed an array of exciting activities including a live musical performance from Braden McDannell and a silent auction featuring exclusive works by local and renowned artists. Culinary delights from High on the Hog BBQ and handcrafted cocktails from West Overton Distilling added to the charm of the evening, while Steel City Axe's mobile axe-throwing brought a unique thrill to the event.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from our community, sponsors, advertisers, and local businesses," said Heather Konhaus, SAMA’s new Site Coordinator for Ligonier. "The Backyard Bash exceeded our expectations, and the funds raised will go a long way in continuing to support local artists and provide arts education to our community," agreed Site Director, Kristin Miller. The Backyard Bash not only brought in a fantastic turnout but also raised significant funds to help sustain SAMA’s programs and future exhibitions. The event also provided a platform for local artists to connect with attendees and showcase their incredible work.

As the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art continues its mission to inspire creativity and cultivate an appreciation for the arts, we extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. We look forward to hosting more engaging events for the community in the future.
