75 Students tackle 3 different musicals about Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook and the many magical inhabitants of Neverland!

Greensburg, PA: Westmoreland Performing Art’s Student Companies, consisting of 75 students between the ages of 4 and 18 will be staging 3 different Peter Pan Musicals at the Science Hall Theatre on the campus of Westmoreland County Community College. The Students are all enrolled in classes at WPA and have been rehearsing since November to ready the 3 shows.

The Shooting Stars Class, consisting of 4 to 7 year olds will be doing the mini-musical The Shadow of Peter by John Biscelo - which tells the story of Peter’s very independent shadow, and its adventures while away from Peter. The Tween Musical Theatre Showcase Class (Ages 8-13) will be staging Peter Pan - A Musical Adventure - by George Stiles and Anthony Drew (Creators of the musical “Honk”) Which tells the familiar tale of Peter, Wendy, Michael, John, Captain Hook , Tiger Lily and their adventures in Neverland. It is based on the original play by J M Barrie and features a score that will lift your spirits and awaken the wonder you felt the first time you experienced this timeless story. The Teen Musical Theatre Showcase Class (Ages 13-18) will be staging the musical “Tink!”, by Anthony Marino, Lena Gabrielle and Greg Kerestan. This newer musical was chosen for the now defunct New York Musical Festival in 2016 where it won special recognition as a family favorite. It tells the story of how Tink came to be friends with Peter, and how Captain Hook came to be the greatest villain in all of Neverland. We meet Tiger Lilly, Tink’s parents, the Lost Boys and experience the origin of the story we all know and love.

Executive Director Renata Marino: “What better way to ward off the Winter blues than with 3 trips through all your favorite Peter Pan Stories! The kids are loving getting to tell different parts of Peter’s life, we literally go from seeing him drop out of the sky in Tink, Losing his Shadow, and then settling Captain Hook, not once but twice. If you love this story you are going to want to see all three shows!”
