This year's event will shine a spotlight on the next generation, with the theme “Building the Future: A Celebration of Youth,” while continuing to serve veterans, families, and the entire community.
Following the momentum of a ground-breaking year with a dedicated new board of directors and coordinator in 2024, this year’s celebration promises even more excitement, heart, and hometown pride.
A Two-Day Celebration to Remember
Board President Chief Richard Bosco recognizes that when Latrobe residents begin setting out their chairs on July 3, it marks more than just a spot on the parade route - it’s a cherished tradition that captures the spirit of the holiday itself. This year, the Latrobe Fourth of July Celebration and its partners are honoring that hometown excitement by officially kicking off the festivities on July 3 with a full evening of community-centered events.
Latrobe Shop Hop & Night Market – Thursday, July 3: 4-9 p.m.
Downtown Latrobe will come alive with local artisans, food and beverage trucks, and live music along Ligonier Street. Local restaurants like Carmines will have special seating and entertainment, and the Celebration will host a kids' Deck Your Wheels Parade where kids can decorate anything with wheels and star in their parade.
Firecracker Race - Thursday, July 3 at 7 p.m.
An iconic Latrobe tradition hosted by Greater Latrobe Parks and Recreation, the Firecracker Race has a choice of a 5-mile run or a 2-mile walk at Latrobe Memorial Stadium. Registration and more information can be found at www.latroberecreation.org
Latrobe 4th of July Celebration
The main event occurs at the beloved Legion Keener Park, where the day will be packed with patriotic fun, including the much-loved parade, free family activities, attractions, live entertainment, fireworks, and more. This year, in honor of the theme, the committee is introducing something extra special: “Celebration Bucks” for kids, giving young attendees the chance to enjoy additional activities for free, creating more access, more smiles, and more unforgettable memories.

Upgrade your adventure to an All-Day Adventure Pass for unlimited fun on more than 10 activities!
- 11 a.m. | Check out the Foggy Goggle Axe House and challenge your family and friends to see who is the axe throwing master!
- Lunch & Dinner | When you are getting hungry, stop by one of our dining outlets for a sandwich, entree or even an ice-cold beverage! Visit the Bavarian Lounge, Foggy Goggle, Mountain Pizza, Slopeside, Helen’s and more!
- 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. | Don't miss the Brother's Theory at the Foggy Goggle, part of the Foggy Goggle Concert Series, before the fireworks show.
- 9 p.m. - 12 a.m. | DJ Ian Taylor will count down the fireworks show and keep the party going inside the Goggle through the evening!
- 9:30 p.m. | Fireworks light up the mountain! The best vantage points are from the grass area below the Bavarian Beach Pool and the area around the Foggy Goggle and Emo’s Pit!
Ignite The Night Fireworks and Community Event - July 3
Somerset Football Field, Somerset
Prepare to be amazed by a dazzling array of fireworks from Little Big Shots. Delicious food and beverages will be available from local vendors such as Out of the Smoke, Dominos Pizza, Blanca Matin Shaved Ice, Mountain Kettle Corn and Sweet Annie's Ice Cream. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. behind the high school.
