Are you headed to Idlewild & SoakZone for the first time? Here are some tips and tricks to make your day at the park go off without a hitch.

Join Princess Lily for a tea party. On most park operating days, Princess Lily holds tea at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Each attendee receives a Princess Lily boxed set, which includes a plastic tea cup, cooking, and fruit cup, for $14.99. Iced tea and water are served for tea. Reserve a spot before you go here.
Daniel Tiger and Katerina Kittycat invite you to a fun-filled pizza party. Snap photos of the kids with Daniel and Katerina, and enjoy pizza, breadsticks, salad, fruit, and beverages. Only held on select Fridays and Saturdays, the Daniel Tiger Eat and Greet is $21.99 for ages 10 and up, and $15.99 for ages 2-9. Make reservations here.
Tips & Tricks
Start the day off by exploring Old Idlewild while the temperature is still cool. Escape the afternoon heat in the shade at Story Book Forest, Jumpin' Jungle, and Raccoon Lagoon. Need to fit in nap time? Bring the stroller and walk around these areas for a quieter retreat. No naps? Head to the SoakZone to cool off.
No Idlewild experience is complete without a Cyclone Cone: vanilla ice cream, fresh strawberries, whipped cream on a waffle cone.
Guests are permitted to bring picnic baskets and coolers inside the park. Coolers and baskets are also allowed in the SoakZone, but absolutely no glass bottles! There are also picnic shelters for rent! If a shelter doesn't have a rented sign posted, these areas are open for use.
