The Monongahela River, railroad and National Road (Route 40) come together in Brownsville. Our free museum exhibits are a testament to Brownsville's significance in our nation's development. The museum is open the first Saturday of each month 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon, or by appointment. Contact 724-880-5960 or MRRandTM@Gmail.Com. Handicapped accessible. The mission of the Monongahela River, Railroad, and Transportation Museum is to collect, research, preserve, display, and maintain archival materials related to the river, rail, and other modes of transportation and to present this history in a manner that allows visitors to enjoy their experience as well as learn from it. There is also a G scale railroad display provided by the Pittsburgh Garden Railway Society for visitor enjoyment.
