Spring

Kid Zip Lining

Once the snow melts, try something new like an exhilarating zip lining or rock wall climbing experience at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort.

The Laurel Highlands has miles and miles of pristine trout streams. The rivers and lakes are stocked in the spring, so head to the Laurel Highlands Trout Trail for incredible fishing opportunities.

This spring, attend the 72nd Annual Pennsylvania Maple Festival in Meyersdale, aka Maple City, USA. Learn how to tap a tree and boil the sap into syrup, then stock up on maple products to enjoy at home!

Summer

Natural Rock Waterslide

There are more than 700 miles of hiking and biking trails in the Laurel Highlands. Soak up the sun and take a walk in one of the state parks. 

Cool off at Ohiopyle State Park with natural waterslides, waterfalls and whitewater rafting then unwind with a beer and a bite to eat.

Fall

Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater

The Laurel Highlands is home to four of Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural creations. Fall’s vibrant foliage serves as a stunning backdrop, making it the perfect time to visit.

Take a leaf-peeping drive around the Laurel Highlands and find 10 historic covered bridges surrounded by red, orange and yellow leaves.

History comes to life at Fort Ligonier Days, a weekend-long festival in Ligonier. Watch amazing reenactments at the Fort, catch the community parade and browse hundreds of craft booths.

Winter
